Buying brand new clothes for kids makes almost no sense at all. Especially considering that the clothes will either be ruined in no time flat or be outgrown by this time next year. I’m going to help save you a fortune by introducing to you an AMAZING discount thrift store. Perfect for buying cheap used kids clothes online.
I would like to state that I have personally been using this website for buying used clothing for the past 5 years. The customer service is AMAZING!
I first stumbled upon them when I lived on post at Joint Base Lewis McChord in Washington and have used them about 2 or 3 times per year ever since.
This website was one of those amazing finds I discovered for saving money, about the same time I was introduced to extreme couponing. The couponing community taught me so much about saving money in ways that I never even dreamed of!
Schoola is an online thrift store that gives back to the community
This website is significantly better than any in-person thrift store I have EVER used. I’ll be explaining all the how’s and why’s, and tell you how I save hundreds of dollars per order!
With every purchase you make, 40% of the proceeds from your order
goes towards schools for kids.
It’s really cool knowing that you are helping kids while shopping, but what’s better is that it tells you which one is being helped by your order!
You can also donate clothing to Schoola by requesting a pre-addressed mailer bag to stuff with old clothes and send to them. This is a great way to get rid of old clothes you or your kids have outworn or things that just aren’t selling.

Schoola has incredible everyday prices, starting at $3
Something that I truly love about the way Schoola’s website works it that they show you the retail price of items if they were bought new. They give you the brand name, size, and details on the items condition.
Not only that, but the prices that these items are being sold at are great, starting at $3 per item and once your cart reaches $25 you can have free shipping.
If you have more than 10 items in your cart, the shipping is a modest $1 per item after 10. So 11 items are $1 shipping, 15 items are $5 shipping.
They carry more than just kids clothes!
While the store markets and promotes cheap used kids clothes online, they actually carry more than just kids clothing items! It does make sense that they would promote kids clothing so much since they help schools. But there is so much more that Schoola has to offer!
They have everything from newborn baby sizes to men plus size. Women maternity sizes, formal/business wear. Even shoes and accessories!
When I was pregnant with my son Samuel, I didn’t own any maternity clothing. I knew that I needed to buy new pieces to fit my expanding body.
I also knew that it was going to be expensive because I had been there, done that with my daughter a few years prior. But I knew that I didn’t want to buy brand new since it would be worn for such a short period of time.
I shopped online with Schoola and was able to get myself several pairs of maternity pants, shorts, shirts and clothes for my son and daughter.
36 clothing pieces, for about $50 shipped.
- 1 pair of maternity shorts
- 4 pairs of maternity pants
- 1 maternity shirt
- 3 shirts for my daughter
- 1 jacket for my daughter
- 2 pairs of shorts for my daughter
- 2 skirts for my daughter
- 22 clothing pieces for my son, sized NB-12m
The total cost before the discounts was $165.30, and after discounts, it was only $48.81. So I saved $116.49.
But the retail price of the items new was $926, so it’s almost like I saved $877.19.
That was about 2 years ago, and the savings are still just as good!
They give discount codes up to 75% off their already low prices!
My recent shopping trip with them was mainly for pants for my daughter since she keeps blowing through the knees on all of her pairs. She plays so rough and hard!
As an email subscriber to this company, I get their promotional codes to my inbox and almost every holiday like clockwork, I see a discount code for 75% off used items.
There are smaller promo amounts throughout the month, but I always wait for the bigger discounts, because I love saving money! I mean, I own a blog that’s all about saving money… So of course, this is accurate.
My last shopping haul with them:
My last shopping haul with them was March 18, 2019, for as many pairs of pants for my energetic Kindergartener as I could possibly squeeze into the free shipping.
There was a St. Patrick’s Day promo code for 75% off, so I loaded my shopping cart.
I filled my cart with pants for her and looked around at other items in stock. After some playing around with my cart, adding and removing items- I finally settled on a happy purchase.
- 7 pairs of pants and a nice dress for my girl
- 1 nice shirt for my baby boy (new with tags!)
- 2 pairs of pants for my husband (he was in need of them too)
- A shirt and a jacket for myself
My total spent was $26.57, and I saved $76.73 thanks to the 75% off discount code. The retail on these items was $593!
See that expensive purple Forecaster Sport jacket? It came a little redder in person, and not long enough in the arms for me. However, it is in excellent condition. So I plan to sell it on Poshmark to recoup the cost of this shopping trip.
When I get time to actually make a listing for it and sell the jacket, I will come back and update this post with the amount it sells for. But for those of you looking at this as a possible side hustle, it is. You can buy cheap clothes and resell for top dollar! It’s no different than reselling used books.
*Post Update 6/5/19 I sold that jacket for $30.
So to recap why this site is so awesome and why you should shop there-
